In Memoriam: Alyssa Moore
The Lab Design team, along with the Lab Manager team and the entire LabX Media Group network, is saddened to announce the recent passing of our colleague and friend, Alyssa Moore.
Alyssa served as senior account manager for Lab Design starting when the brand joined the LabX Media Group portfolio in 2022, after already playing a key role on Lab Manager’s sales team since 2012. From there, Alyssa worked closely with Lab Design’s clients and business network to build strong relationships and ensure their voices were represented in our articles, webinars, and digital conferences. Her close communication with clients helped ensure that Lab Design News addressed significant concerns and workflows involving casework, furniture, and equipment when designing or renovating a lab facility.
Significantly, Alyssa coordinated the exhibit hall at the Lab Design Conference and was proud to fill it each year with clients who could truly connect with conference attendees and address their needs when designing and constructing their labs. She took great care to ensure that her exhibitors enjoyed their experience and had the opportunity to forge genuine relationships with conference attendees.
On a personal note: working for a mostly remote company can be isolating at times, so it was always a joy to see Alyssa in person each year at the Lab Design Conference. She was a cheerful, funny colleague who was always ready to help set things up and make everything run smoothly. It was also great to spend our downtime together at post-event dinners or traveling to the airport, where we’d chat about her latest travel plans and her visits with her nieces, nephews, and other family members whom she cherished deeply. I will miss her very much.
Alyssa was an integral part of the Lab Design team and a wonderful person. The entire LabX Media Group organization sends our deepest condolences to her family and friends.
