Join the Lab Design Speaker Lineup: Webinar FAQs
Sharing your expertise with the Lab Design audience is a powerful way to position yourself as a thought leader in laboratory planning, design, and operations. In addition to our annual in-person Lab Design Conference, we host webinars and digital conferences featuring industry experts.
These virtual events bring together lab planners, architects, engineers, facility managers, end users, and industry partners seeking practical, educational insights. As a certified AIA Continuing Education Provider, Lab Design also offers attendees the opportunity to earn valuable LU and HSW credits through the American Institute of Architects.
If you’re interested in presenting, the FAQs below outline everything you need to know about formats, expectations, and how we collaborate with speakers to deliver high-value content.
What types of digital events does Lab Design offer?
We host two types of digital content:
Webinar: A standalone session that takes place independently, rather than as part of a larger event. This includes our thought leadership webinars focused on key lab design topics, as well as our How to Build series, which explores the full design/build lifecycle of a specific lab type.
Digital conference: A one-day virtual event featuring multiple webinars centered around a common theme.
What presentation formats are available?
Speakers can choose from several formats:
Lecture-style presentation (1-3 speakers using a slide decks)
Panel discussion (3-5 speakers discussing a topic and answering questions)
Ask the Expert (an interview between a subject matter expert and a Lab Design editor)
How long is each session?
Sessions typically run 40-60 minutes, and may include a Q&A session.
Who determines the topic?
Webinar speakers are recruited to speak on specific topics.
Digital conference speakers are recruited based on their subject-matter expertise, and Lab Design collaborates with them to identify and refine the most appropriate topic for their presentation.
Are there content guidelines?
All presentations must be educational, and exclusive to Lab Design.
We submit webinars to the American Institute of Architects (AIA) for continuing education credit. Health, Safety & Welfare (HSW) content is strongly encouraged, as it increases the likelihood of accreditation.
Lab Design partners with speakers to ensure each presentation provides practical, high-value takeaways for attendees.
Are sponsorship and lead generation opportunities available?
Yes—please contact mdidonna@labdesignconference.com for more information.
What materials do you need from speakers?
Speakers will collaborate with the Lab Design editor to develop a presentation summary and learning objectives that accurately reflect their content and align with audience interests. A headshot and brief professional bio are also required.
Will the session be available on demand?
Yes! Lab Design’s digital content remains available on demand after the original air date, allowing attendees to continue learning and earn AIA credit.
