Lab Design News delivers must-read news, features, analysis, and information on news and trends in sustainable lab design, serving the needs of the entire research community involved in the design, construction, and operation of laboratory facilities, including building owners and operators, high-level lab users and managers, and the building team (architects, engineers, consultants, and contractors).

Editorial coverage showcases excellence in laboratory planning design/build, construction, engineering, operation, and sustainability, delivering news, information, and-need-to-know data that will have a significant impact on new and refurbished facilities.

We accept articles on topics pertaining to all aspects of laboratory design, as well as other topics such as architecture, engineering, planning, reuse/rebuilds/renovation, building information management, and sustainability. Topics can include but are not limited to:

  • Detailed examinations of trends and technologies in laboratory design

  • New Projects: an in-depth tour of a laboratory facility that has been constructed within the past year, or will be complete within one year’s time

  • Case Studies: review of proven design and operational practices, and an explanation of how these practices benefit the laboratory design community

  • Legal/Regulatory Features: government, association, or industry policies that affect facilities, manufacturing practices, or workers

Lab Design News is published in association with the Lab Design Conference, the leading business conference and exhibition serving professionals in the design, build, construction, retrofit, and management of state-of-the-art laboratories. The conference returns for its 20th annual event in 2021.
